Breastfeeding Support Group
NEW TIME: Mondays at 1:00 pm
Come to this free group that is for all moms, those breastfeeding a freshly-born baby, those having challenges, those interested in learning more about using a breastpump and those just interested in meeting other nursing mothers or figuring out how to breastfeed in public. This is a great time to meet other breastfeeding moms, too! This group is facilitated by a breastfeeding counselor who will elicit questions and solutions from the group as well as share her knowledge. She will also let you know if you and your baby may benefit from a private consultation with a local lactation consultant or physician.
Topics are as varied as your questions and might include:
- Positioning and proper latch
- What do I do if nursing hurts?
- Sleeping and nursing: finding a balance
- How can your partner help you nurse your baby?
- Breastfeeding in public
- Nursing Accessories: nursing bras, pumps, pads, covers
- Pumping: why, when, where, and how to use pumped breast milk
This is a free, drop-in group, no need to register.
Free Mondays, 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm
