Expecting Multiples: More Than One Miracle
This class addresses the unique physical, emotional, social, and informational needs of families expecting twins, triplets, or more and is taught by a certified childbirth educator who is also a mom of twins. Topics addressed include everything from the Prepared Childbirth class with additional information specific to a multiple pregnancy; coping with the discomforts of a multiple pregnancy, high-risk myths and realities, anatomy and physiology of multiple pregnancy, coping with prematurity, NICU, what to expect postpartum, practical strategies for parenting multiple babies, and breastfeeding multiples. Plan to start the class at 22 to 24 weeks of pregnancy, or sooner, if possible. Please dress comfortably and bring two pillows and two blankets or large towels for activities on the floor.
Tuesdays, March 2 - March 30, $175 per couple
