Moms Nights Out

Moms, you deserve a night out once in a while... and we've got some great reasons to leave the house! We have various topics, speakers and events planned just for moms and moms-to-be. These vents are designed to be Moms Nights Out... babies are welcome, if you prefer, for most events (not for Moms Night Swim, though).

Positive Discipline Workshop

We've heard your requests for this workshop for the last couple of years and we are thrilled to have Jennifer Lynch, an amazing speaker (who has thrilled MoCo parents with her Adventures in Toileting workshops), child development specialist and Montessori teacher.

This workshop focuses on the developmental stages of children from birth - 6 years old. The conversation will offer parents and caregivers the information, tools and strategies useful for teaching their young child socially acceptable behaviors. We will discuss the child's 3 levels of obedience, developmentally appropriate behavior expectations, appropriate consequences and how the design of the child's environment plays a part in his/her behavior.

Includes light refreshments and reading materials. Babies welcome. Even though this is called a Moms' Night Out, dads are also welcome!

Adventures in Toileting

Come hang out with other moms of toddlers and share the joys and challenges of this precious stage of their lives. This workshop is specifically designed to offer advice, support, strategies and tools to help facilitate toileting and helping your child independently move from diapers to "Big Girl/Boy Pants". Jennifer Lynch will be our guest speaker and she'll point out the signs of readiness for toileting, the emotional and physical aspects of toileting, preparation of the environment to set your child up for success and discuss typical behaviors and regressions surrounding toileting. Come with your questions, enjoy some healthy snacks and refreshments and just enjoy a night out!

Jennifer Lynch has been working with Infants, Toddlers and families for over 10 years. Jennifer holds a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education with a Concentration in the Montessori method. She is certified to teach by the Association Montessori International (AMI) for children birth - 3 years old and by the American Montessori Society (AMS) for children age 3 - 6 years old. Jennifer has worked as an educator and administrator in public and private school settings, group childcare centers and Montessori Programs in, New York, Virginia, MetroWest, MA and the Boston, MA area. A mother herself, Jennifer has 2 girls, Meredith and Charlotte. Jennifer, her husband Jeremy, and the girls reside in Auburn, MA.

Let's Talk About Sex

Mommas: You know you want to talk about it, so let's do let's talk about sex. During pregnancy, after birth, whenever we all have questions (ANYthing you want to ask!) and hey, it'll be fun! Facilitated by a certified nurse-midwife. Includes chocolate, of course!
