Prepared Childbirth
This comprehensive, twelve hour, class covers late pregnancy, labor, delivery, and recovery. It includes comfort measures, relaxation techniques, hospital procedures, medical pain relief options, and Cesarean birth. You will learn the signs and stages of labor, the role of the labor support person, the process of birth, and positions for labor and delivery. We will cover what to do during labor, when to go to the hospital, and details about all pain medication options. Class is a combination of lecture, video presentation, and hands-on-practice.
How does this class differ from our Natural Childbirth class? This class is designed for parents who are pretty sure they want to have an epidural for their birth.
6-week series
Tuesdays, March 23 - April 27, 7:00 - 9:00 pm, $150 per couple
2-day series
Saturdays, both April 24 (9:00 am - 4:00 pm) & May 1 (9:00 am - 1:00 pm). $175 per couple
